Let me come over its’s gonna be raining Let me come over it’ll rain all day We’ll open the windows let the breeze roll in open the windows I wanna feel the rain against your skin And just make sure you wear that new black dress or something less Let me come over there’s gonna be a lightning storm Let me come over feel your body keep me warm when the lightning flashes I’ll move a little closer when the lightning flashes I’ll move a little lower and just make sure you wear that new black dress Or something less cause you make me believe, you make me believe again I wanna come clean and confess I long for your caress every time I think of you all I wanna do is take off that new black dress Let me come over you know you want me to baby

You drip like honey Drip like honey Drip like honey in my soul And taste as warm as sunshine You burn me brightly burn me brightly burn me bright your eyes like coal as warm and rich as red wine and maybe I oughta let you know maybe I oughta let you go maybe I would if I could but even jesus baby couldn’t be that good You hum the bass note hum the bass note Hum the bassnote through my bones a sigh a gentle hallelujah and maybe I oughta let you know maybe I oughta let you go maybe I would if I could but even jesus baby couldn’t be that good I’ve held the hand of the devil Went down to the crossroads I’d turn my back on him if I could and maybe baby it’s a bad bad thing but even jesus baby couldn’t be that good

I’m falling through you, fall into you nothing left to keep my feet falling to you, falling through you I’m thrown and thrown completely and I’m laughing falling flying with the joy of it cause you sing through me, sing through me electric and maybe it’ll get colder and maybe it’ll get stormy and maybe the winds will blow our hopes away by the morning But you sing through me, sing through me electric baby you sing through me, sing through me electric I’m running to you, you’re running through me every time you move I feel the vibration I’m running to you, you’re running through me I feel you coming, I feel your radiation I’m shaking spinning quaking to feel so connected and maybe it’ll get colder and maybe it’ll get stormy and maybe the winds will blow our hopes away by tomorrow but you sing through me, sing through me electric you and me baby, some kind of electricity

Today as I wait for my coffee I simmer slow waiting for the light to go waiting for something I know and the words on the page become lines and numbers and the clouds in the sky become signs and wonders my head fills me with certainty, my heart fills me with doubt but it’s more than I can write about She’s got a smile so bright I know you could see the stars in it a smile so bright I know you could see the stars A curly haired little girl with a present in the thrift store a mother who’s thankful for the feeling I’ve been given more and the prices on the clothes become signs and lights the gentle man who finds my shoes is a saviour and an acolyte my heart is filled with wonder so much so it makes me wanna shout but it’s more than I can talk about yeah it’s more than I can talk about She’s got a smile so bright I know you could see the stars in it And something a little too gentle something a little too kind and something about the light between her eyelashes and eyes Sunshine water blue a swimming pool the wistful fear of platform dives It’s not enough to work it out no there’s no way I could work it out each jump is an unknowing each leap is an eternity and my head fills me with doubt but my heart leaps with the certainty that it’s more than I can sing about She’s got a smile so bright I know you could see the stars And something a little too gentle something a little too kind and something about the light between her eyelashes and eyes she’s got a smile so bright I know there must be a song in it but it’s more than I can sing about

about

TJ Eckleberg takes the inner city blues into a sexy, soulful corner – as much inspired by Curtis Mayfield as Justin Timberlake and John Legend – the songs are crafted responses to a world vibrating with the feeling something gorgeous is about to happen… The bass lines rumble and moan, an invitation to slow dance – tremolo guitars and breathy vocals ride a current that enfolds as it grooves. It’s dirty sex music in the same way as Robert Johnson singing ‘Won’t you come on in my kitchen…’. It drips yearning and desire.
